Show Notes
Summer is just about over, and the fellas of the 2% tap in to break down the importance of representation in curriculum materials. The crew starts things with the “Alphabet Brainstorm” to warm things up. With Juneteenth and the fourth of July over and done, Donny, Antoine, Nagi, and Jeff break down the desperate need for a better representation of people of color in academic and curriculum materials. After a great academic discussion, the guys stop at the teacher’s lounge to fess up how old people think they are. After getting the numbers, the data dig raises an important question; What should be done first to help bolster more representation, a change to the curriculum or the educational materials? With no ticket out the door, the SEL moment urges everyone to take things one step at a time and one punch at a time. To be a part of the conversation, follow us on all social media platforms.
